If an individual (or group) feels victim to a violation of our mission, a complaint may be filed and the branch will investigate.
Upon conclusion of a complaint investigation, the branch will make recommendations to the complainant in effort to mitigate the situation. Often times, the appropriate committee leader will take an active approach at advocating on the complainants behalf within our capability. Referrals to outside entities are made where the need goes beyond our scope.
In effort to keep our members in the know, we strive to maintain a presence in all public King William County legislative activities; making our collective voice heard when the need arises.
When injustices present themselves on a large scale, the King William County Branch NAACP is a leader in helping to organize events to get our voice heard. Any organized activism events the branch participates in will be publicized in the upcoming events section of our website.
We collaborate with community based organizations, businesses and area churches to help perpetuate our common goals. We host events to promote a stronger sense of community amongst our neighbors and allow our youth to give back while demonstrating cultural awareness. Our branch office is also a community center. It's open to members by appointment only. Members can benefit from the use of our computer lab, meeting space use and participate in empowerment educational activities.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
We'd love for you to come by.
